To increase the market shares of OPPO in Western Europe, raise brand awareness and shape the telecommunication industry we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel.

What would you be doing:


As part of our Western Europe Legal Team, the Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for the legal support of the companies’ office in Germany with a focus on the WEU market. The future position holder provides professional legal services to all the Group’s businesses and operations.


  • Provide legal support for subsidiaries in Germany as well as other WEU countries
  • Draft, negotiate, interpret and advise on a variety of complex contracts, especially sales and partnering agreements vendor and supplier agreements, data processing agreements, service agreements
  • Create and improve contract templates and guidelines
  • Monitor, interpret and advise on current and new relevant legislation and case law in WEU
  • Promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations and with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Conducting training courses for Group employees in Germany and abroad
  • Recognise and analyse legal risks, develop and implement solutions to avoid them
  • Support litigation in case of legal proceeding

What you should bring:


  • Degree from an accredited German law school, ideally in combination with post graduate diplomas and admitted lawyer qualification
  • A minimum work experience of 5 years acquired in an international company or, ideally, in both an international company and an international law firm. Experience in Consumer Electronics industry would be a plus
  • Profound knowledge in commercial law, contract law, corporate law and competition law and GDPR
  • Familiar with various business issues (functioning as internal supporting partner for the entities)
  • Excellent oral, written English and German language skills are mandatory, Chinese language skills are an advantage
  • Strong commitment, ability and willingness to work independently and take over responsibility
  • Good communication skills, a pragmatic hands-on mentality, pro-activeness and a strong readiness to learn
